I want to hear more new music all time time and don't want more stuff in my life for my daughter to have to dispose of when I pop off. I probably buy 10% of the music I once bought, but I'm hearing more new and different music now than I was listening to a decade ago.

These days I only buy something - hardcopy or download - if there's something I really, really want to hear that isn't available on any streaming platform, or if it's a very small label or self-released item of low popularity music (which comprises a lot of the contemporary avant garde jazz I listen to), and I have a concern that some day it will be unavailable and hard to find.

Qobuz offers a few options for payment plans, and the pricing has dropped as of September 2021. Now, with streaming, it's like I've been given back the world of music because I can hear most of what I'm curious about without having to pay for it piecemeal or hold a hardcopy of something I might listen to once, or for a couple of months, and then maybe not listen to again for a decade. Qobuz is a streaming service known for its High-Res and Hi-Fi audio. Buying and holding hard copy on every bit of new recorded music I'm curious to hear became so expensive and such a space burden that I found myself listening to less and less new and new to me music.
